• A 46 x 16 ft. TimberTech composite deck with stylish vinyl railings, round spindles, and step lighting for added charm and safety
• Outdoor lighting fixtures, ceiling fans, and a chandelier for a warm, welcoming ambiance.

Built a Dream Patio with Flagstone

Flagstone is ideal for patios because of its durability, natural look, and ability to withstand weather changes, making it perfect for Virginia’s climate. Rajeev’s patio was built with high-quality flagstone, spanning an impressive 2,000 sq. ft.

Our installation included a solid 4” gravel and 4” concrete base to provide lasting stability and prevent settling. To enhance the appearance, we applied a professional-grade shine sealant that gives the stone a polished look and protects it from wear, moisture, and staining. Rajeev’s patio is now a low-maintenance, attractive addition that perfectly complements his home.

A Pathway with Purpose and Style

For smooth accessibility, we designed and installed a 62 ft. long and 4 ft. wide flagstone pathway, equipped with under-cap lighting on each step to ensure safety at all times.

This pathway guides visitors from the driveway to the patio, creating a welcoming experience and enhancing the overall appeal of the home’s exterior. The pathway’s under-cap lighting adds an element of sophistication, making nighttime visits both safe and enjoyable.

Detailed Deck Design with a Modern Touch

Rajeev’s deck, constructed with TimberTech composite, spans 46 x 16 ft., offering plenty of space for relaxing and hosting guests. Built with a picture-frame style and bordered by 36” vinyl railings, it offers a clean, polished look. The black round spindles along the 81 linear feet of railing add a sleek contrast, while the step lighting ensures easy navigation even in low light.

The deck posts were covered with PVC for a refined finish and improved durability. A key focus of the design was to create a seamless, inviting space that complemented the rest of Rajeev’s outdoor area.

Enhancing the Ambiance with Decorative Columns and Lighting

One of the unique aspects of this project was the addition of decorative columns on either side of the steps from the deck to the patio. These columns, along with veneer-covered side walls, give the entire setup a grand, sophisticated appearance.

We installed step lighting along the stairs and under-cap lighting for the pathway for a cozy, welcoming ambiance. We also added ceiling fans and a chandelier under the deck, making this space usable throughout the year.

Finishing Touches: Green Walls and a Painted Back Wall

To add a touch of color and texture, we painted the back wall of the house white and finished the stair walls with a green wall treatment. These finishing touches were subtle yet impactful, enhancing the overall look without overwhelming the natural tones of the flagstone and woodwork.
